You may have an emergency kit for dealing with physical crisis. But do you have an emergency kit for dealing with psychological effects of economic, medical and relationship crisis? This is what Resilience is.
Resilience can be learned
It means knowing ahead of time how to respond best to the unexpected. It means being aware that in crisis your brain is designed for fight or flight and knowing how to recover from those effect fast – even years after the events.
In this Resilience breakfast talk you’ll
- Understand resilience as growing through life’s challenges
- Identify the differences between people who have resilience and people who suffer chronic problems after crises
- Learn how people who successfully recover from economic, social and personal crises respond differently
- Understand the 3 stages of a crisis and how different skills are needed to help someone at each stage
- Have a practical experience of how changing your perspective changes the way you feel about a crisis you face
