Continuing on from our last session, we will be exploring conflict management. As this session uses the skills learned from the previous session, I ask that you’ve either attended the last session or have viewed the video recording of the content. It’s best that everyone in the room have the same level of understanding before we begin.
This session will focus on Values Conflict, probably the most difficult conflict to resolve. A values conflict means that we have a problem and have attempted to express that problem to someone else using an “I message.” The other person has replied to us by saying something like, “I don’t care,” “That’s not my problem,” “I hear you but I’m going to do it anyway,” or something of that nature. Basically the other person is expressing that he/she doesn’t value your need to get the conflict resolved or doesn’t value that it’s a conflict worthy of talking about.
So what do you do then?
I’m glad you would like to know! Join us as we uncover and practice this last component of conflict management.
