Businesses have cutbacks all the time. How do they determine who stays and who goes? And how can you be sure you\’re going to be one of the ones that stay?
Sometimes, you can be the best technically at your job but you\’re still the one retrenched. Why? Because there\’s more to being a great employee, manager and leader than just being technically efficient. What matters is your \”soft\” skills. So how do you get better at those?
First, you need to learn about yourself. By learning about how your mind is programmed and how that programming is affecting others, you become a master of yourself. Sometimes, simply understanding yourself better gives you that \”ah-ha\” moment of what you can change. You communicate and come across to other in a whole new way.
Next, you need to learn about others. Thankfully, the way you learned about yourself is also the way you begin to learn about others. And with skills like, discovering individual motivation, influencing behavior, negotiation, and conflict management you\’ll be well on your way to mastering your relationships with others. And by others, I mean bosses, colleagues and people who report to you. It\’s all about keeping those connections healthy right? Because at the end of the day, people want to work with people they like.
Lastly, you need to know how to coach. Coaching is THE skill set for leaders. So, if you want to be able to get ahead and be cutback-proof, you need to be able to coach someone else into the right mindset and right behavior that gets the job done. You also need to be able to coach someone away from the negative behaviors and attitudes that hinder your work and the success of the company. And you need to be able to coach someone who has problems completely unrelated to the work you do. Why? Because it\’s the personal stuff that gets in the way of being productive. The faster you can help someone out of their rut, the faster they get back to making progress.
And I have the perfect training where you can get all of this done. It\’s the NLP Practitioner & Master Practitioner Certification Courses.
What is NLP?
NLP or Neuro Linguistic Programming is best understood by dissecting its confusing name:
Neuro– referring to the brain and the nervous system. In NLP, a lot of the processes that you learn are based on the natural functioning of the brain, how it connects, how it uses plasticity, and how it interacts with the whole body.
Linguistic– meaning language both verbal and non verbal. The way we say things, what we say and what our physiology is, all play a role in the way we communicate with ourselves and others. NLP helps with our relationship issues with its language techniques.
Programming– the way we have created habits, ways of thinking, of doing and of believing. Our programming has been influenced by our parents, the media, our culture, other significant members of our family as well as friends. Sometimes, a slight change in the strategy we are programmed to use in one area of our life can cause ripple effects over all of the areas of our life. NLP has the tools to make these changes.
Taken together, NLP is about the programs that run our brain & nervous system, how it effects our communication, and the interconnection between all of them. For me, I describe NLP as the purposeful use of your mind\’s power!
With NLP you can understand how you have been “programmed” and how to change programs that aren’t working for you or cost you your job. You can also identify the programs that work for you and map them across to other areas of your life. NLP is all about creating successful outcomes for you and for others by knowing more about these programs; how to change them, add more, and erase some. You become your own hacker in a very good way!
NLP is a toolbox of techniques that will get you to where you need to go.
And if you\’re trying to get a new job, NLP is what helps you perfect your \”soft\” skills. Before NLP, my boss told me I had the personality of a bulldozer. I was a technical master at my job but no one liked me. In the first few days of my NLP course the light bulb went off in my head. I finally understood why I had such a hard time figuring other people out. After NLP, it\’s a breeze. I can even get along with people I don\’t like. I have the skills that allow me to be completely adaptable. What\’s even better is that I\’m able to use my skills to help other people who are just like I used to be.
All in the Mind is the only training company in Asia to provide the full IANLP 18-day certification (the original length of NLP Certification). We are able to do this by splitting our NLP Practitioner Certification into 2 modules of 9 days each. {Can\’t take off 18-days of work? Check out our NLP Certification for Professionals – the only one of its kind in Singapore}
You will see how to use NLP, you will hear about case studies and personal examples and most importantly, you will experience each tool yourself. This is the greatest benefit of a long course – integration of the skills into your own life in the way you need it. Some programs only demonstrate the skill or have you watch a video. For me, it isn\’t in your muscle until you do it! Imagine going to a gym and hiring a personal trainer for just 8 days. Do you think you would get the same results that you would if you hired her for 18 days? The same common sense applies here. The more days you practice the more you will embody the skills.
And the other reason why I choose to provide an 18-day program is because of the huge sense of overwhelm I experienced when I took a short course. There was so much information in such a little amount of time, I felt my brain would explode! I don\’t want you to have the same experience. (Here\’s a glimpse of what you\’ll be learning in the NLP Practitioner)
I choose to have a neutral emphasis during my NLP Certification programs. Instead of focusing on the therapeutic applications of NLP or the business skills or the wealth creation strategies or the coaching techniques, I choose to focus on what applications are best for the students in that particular group. So if you are a Chiropractor wanting to use NLP to help heal your patients, then what you\’re going to hear from me are examples of how you can use each NLP skill for that purpose. If you\’re a mother wanting to use NLP to influence your teenagers, then that is what you will get out of your experience in my certification course. Our course is YOU-focused.
NLP Practitioner Certification Training is the first step to becoming an NLP Coach
Our next NLP Practitioner Certification course dates are:
2016
September 19th – 23rdth & 26th – 29th **
November 7th – 11th & 14th – 17th **
In our training you have the weekends off! Why? For two very important reasons.
- In NLP, we always check for ecology. Ecology means we understand that there are other people in your life besides you. It means that when you have a goal, even if that goal is self-development, it needs to fit into your life or the goal won\’t ever be achieved. For this reason, I want you to have the weekends to spend with friends and family.
- Your brain needs a break. We sleep at night to give our brains a chance to sort and store the lessons and events of the day. Your weekend off will give you more time to process and store the learnings from the course.
We also break our training into 2 sections, each comprising of 9 days. These two sections are approximately one-month apart from each other. The reason I choose to do this is so you can go back to your \”real life\” and practice the skills you have learned so far. You then have the opportunity to come back to the group in the second section and share your experiences, ask specific questions and cement your knowledge even further! In short courses, you don\’t get this opportunity.
**You will need to attend all of the days to receive certification (or arrange with me for make-up days – extra days are chargeable).
